It started with a dream...or is it a dream? Lay It is a story of two toxic lovers. Split apart from his recent love interest Denzel The Artist is learning to embrace solitude and struggles with loneliness from the recent break. Little does he know his past interest stalks his every move, watching him from every corner, window, and doorway, driven by a crazed desperation to feel that love once again. Throughout the story Denzel is feeling the pull to go back into that manipulation called "love" fighting through dreams, and long nights of reminiscing.
RIDIN is a culmination of forever haunting thoughts that attach themselves to the back of our minds only to rise up in times of deep isolation or thought. In my case those times are when I drive. Morning, mid-day and especially a night drive is when everything hits me at once. Dark thoughts surface leaving myself to question my resolve, the choices I've made throughout life, the choices I will make, and the weight that I carry. Through all of this I continue to drive sifting through internal chaos only to arrive at a point to where I must decide to let it engulf me or to keep on riding through and toughing it out. The all with the storm is a huge theme throughout this piece, everyone has a journey they must take but the question is will you keep going or will you let the obstacles surround and destroy you? How will you handle it? Will you let the chaos provoke you? Change you ? Will you become part of the chaos or will you keep calm and collected for a better tomorrow? For another chance to keep on moving, to keep riding.
